Member Fiona Wilton

Fiona Wilton, living in Uruguay, works on a myriad of initiatives to protect and restore Earth's vitality and diversity, and has a deep-rooted passion for the ocean. She holds a masters degree in protected landscape management, and for three decades has worked with The Gaia Foundation and global partners supporting community-led programmes and policy for biocultural diversity, indigenous knowledge, sacred lands and seas; and currently accompanies the Un Solo Mar initiative to protect marine areas in Uruguay and southern Brazil. She is an expert member of the UN Harmony with Nature programme, a founding member of the African Earth Jurisprudence Collective, and an Executive Committee member of the Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature.
